PBAC's latest decision on Antiretroviral therapy (art) — combination regimens: Noted (2013). Considered for Initial and continuing treatment of HIV infection in antiretroviral-naïve patients, with removal of the CD4+ count restriction (previously <500 cells/mm³) to allow initiation at any CD4+ count.

Eligible population

Asymptomatic, antiretroviral-naïve HIV-positive patients with CD4+ cell count >500 cells/mm³ at diagnosis.
