PBAC's latest decision on Zoster virus vaccine live (oka/merk): Recommended with restriction (2008). Considered for Prevention of herpes zoster (shingles), prevention of postherpetic neuralgia, and reduction of acute and chronic zoster-associated pain in immunocompetent persons aged 60 years and over (ongoing cohort of 60-year-olds and catch-up cohort aged 61–79 years).
