PBAC's latest decision on Benzathine benzylpenicillin: Recommended (2019). Considered for Treatment of infections due to penicillin-sensitive micro-organisms that are susceptible to the low and very prolonged serum levels common to this particular dosage form. The new strength (0.6 million units) is indicated for accurate administration of paediatric doses in young children.
